The Interim Afghan government has urged the western world to unfreeze Afghanistan’s assets and not to punish ordinary Afghans over the political dispute.
The demand was made by Afghanistan’s Vice Director for Economic Cooperation at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafiullah Azam, while talking to media in Norway’s capital Oslo, where talks are being held between the Afghan government and Western countries.
He said it is time for the international community to support Afghans.
Shafiullah Azam said the meetings with Western officials are a step towards the legitimization of the Afghan government.
